Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups 2% milk
  • 1 (15.25oz) can Kuner's® Whole Kernel Corn (drained)
  • 1 (14.75oz) can Kuner's® Cream Style Corn (do not drain)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Paprika, if desired

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter

Directions

In 3-quart nonstick saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Stir in onion. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in flour, mustard and pepper. Cook until bubbly. Gradually stir in milk with wire whisk until smooth. Cook until mixture boils, stirring frequently. Boil 1 minute. Stir in both cans of corn and parsley. Sprinkle individual servings with paprika.

Serving Suggestion: Top individual servings of chowder with croutons or oyster crackers, or serve with saltines or your favorite crackers.
