Ingredients

Oil for deep frying
1 (15oz) can Kuner’s® Black Beans, drained, rinsed
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 egg
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh ginger
1 small garlic clove, finely chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs

Preparation:

Pour 3 inches of oil in deep fryer or deep saucepan. Heat to 375°F.

Meanwhile, in food processor, place all remaining ingredients. Cover; pulse 4 or 5 times or until chopped and well mixed. Let stand 5 minutes.

Form mixture into 1.75” rounded patties and carefully drop into hot oil. Cook 4 or 5 at a time for 1-2 minutes or until crisp and brown, and center temperature is 160°F. Drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining mixture.
